Which ARRMA 3S Parts Are Actually Interchangeable?

Some ARRMA 3S parts cross between models. Others only look like they should. Here's what the V3 fitment records support.

ARRMA's 3S vehicles share enough hardware that it's easy to treat Granite, Senton, Big Rock and Typhon as one parts bin. Some parts do cross over. Suspension arms are where the assumption breaks.

Vehicle scope

Scope: this guide covers these four models, and only these revisions. V4 and 223S vehicles are not covered. We don't carry V3 fitment forward to them without new evidence.

Quick answer

Yes. Several major parts are shared across all four: front and rear driveshafts, the center driveshaft kit, front and rear shocks, differential hardware, the steering set, and a shared bearing.

Suspension arms split into two groups: Granite and Senton share one geometry. Big Rock V3 and Typhon V3 share the other.

Group B uses the wider arm geometry. The V3 records explicitly separate Big Rock/Typhon arms from the Granite/Senton setup, so this isn't a case of missing evidence. These arm groups are not direct substitutes for one another.

Older Big Rock versions can use different arm geometry. RPM tells Big Rock owners to check the OEM arm already installed before ordering. A listing that says "Big Rock 3S" with no revision or replaced OEM number isn't enough to buy arms on.

Same platform is a clue. It is not a part number.

Center driveshaft: shared kit, different setup

AR310884 / ARAC3955 is shared across all four vehicles, but they do not use the kit the same way.

The kit contains long- and short-wheelbase front sections plus the rear section. Senton, Big Rock and Typhon V3 are documented with the long-wheelbase section; Granite uses the alternate included section.

The kit is shared. The installed setup is not identical.

Shocks and springs

AR330550 front shocks and AR330551 rear shocks cross over across all four vehicles.

The shock sets are sold as assembled dampers without springs. The spring setup is a separate fitment check, so don't treat a shared shock body as proof that every spring setup is shared too.

Differential

ARA310956 is the shared 37T, 1.35-module differential assembly. It can be used as the front or rear differential on the supported V3 vehicles.

ARA311031 is the matching 13T HD input gear. ARRMA specifies it for use with the compatible 1.35-module differential system.

What doesn't carry over automatically

Body mounts, bumpers, wheelie-bar hardware, wheels, tires, and conversion parts each tie to things like body style, wheelbase, hex system, supporting hardware, or revision.

A matching wheel hex doesn't prove a wheel and tire setup fits. Diameter, width, offset, gearing, and clearance still matter.

ExactMods hasn't built a full wheel-and-tire performance matrix yet, so this guide doesn't make broad wheel or tire interchangeability claims.

V3 is not V4 or 223S

Senton, Big Rock and Typhon each have newer V4/223S successors.

A documented V3 fitment does not automatically transfer to V4. We don't reuse V3 records for arms, hubs, driveshafts, bearing kits, bumpers, body mounts, or steering on V4 vehicles without fresh evidence.

If your model code ends in V4, this guide doesn't cover it.

Before you buy

  1. Check the exact model code. "Big Rock 3S" and "ARA4312V3" are not equally specific.
  2. Check the installed OEM part number. This matters most where revisions used different hardware, especially Big Rock suspension arms.
  3. Check companion parts. A shared part can still require the right shaft section, spring, adapter, or hardware.
  4. Read the confidence label. Confirmed, Revision check, Possible fit — needs verification, and Does not fit mean different things.
  5. Check the verification date. Listings and revisions change.

Thirty seconds checking the revision is cheaper than buying the wrong arms twice.
